EASTPAK, one of the world’s most popular street fashion brands, famed for their tough backpacks and luggage, announces the latest edition of its innovative international music tour.

The Eastpak Antidote Tour is headlined this year by Flogging Molly, whose current album ‘Float’ debuted in the US Billboard Hot 100 at No.4 recently, and at No.1 on the US Billboard Independent Chart.

Known for their spirited music, rousing anthems and energetic stage shows, Flogging Molly have built a huge live following around the world, and they have been working with Eastpack for the past 3 years, since making an appearance on the first ever tour in 2005.

The Eastpak Antidote Tour is a live musical experience that has been set up to bring audiences some of the most exciting and relevant ‘real’ music around to countries across the world as well as aims to deliver a high quality and memorable musical experience in a selection of the best venues – those that are intimate enough for the audience to really feel like part of the gig.

Eastpak supports bands locally in every territory in which it is active, as well as others on an international level. Eastpak is known for its dedication to supporting the music scene and has collaborated with individuals, bands, festivals and gigs large and small all over the globe, all of which have had the same ‘Built to Resist’, ‘never-give-up’ philosophy of the brand.

The Eastpak Antidote Tour builds on the musical heritage of Eastpack and gives the audience a taste of different musical styles each year. Thanks to the labels, bands, artists and management that have participated in the tour to date and to those that continue to work with Eastpack as the years pass.

Founded in Los Angeles in 1997 by the expatriate Dave King, Flogging Molly got its start and its name from a local bar called Molly Malone’s where the band played and grew and laid down the blueprint for its eventual success.  As every member of Flogging Molly will emphatically explain, there were no predetermined expectations for the band’s sound.

From night to night playing to a packed house at Molly Malone’s, the sound evolved organically. Traditional Celtic instruments like violin, mandolin and accordion blended seamlessly with grinding guitars and pounding drums. Without consciously attempting it, Flogging Molly merged the music of King’s childhood in Dublin with the music of his adulthood in L.A. “If it didn’t have mandolin, accordion, fiddle and whistle, it would be punk rock, and if it didn’t have guitar, bass and drums, it would be traditional Irish music,” King admits.

Also featuring on the tour are three acts known for their body rocking performances. With Boston punkrockers Street Dogs delivering powerful and passionate hymns, the UK based ragga-punk outfit Skindred adding a beatsy edge and Time Again adding their own distinctive brand of adrenaline-fuelled street punk to this tight line up, the tour promises to deliver a rousing live music experience for all gig goers at every show.

This is a rare chance to see these four bands ‘get it together to tear it apart’ at the best venues in cities across Europe. Countries on the routing include UK, Eire, Germany, The Netherlands, Belgium, France, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, Sweden and Norway.
