In Annie’s words, the winter tour of 2008 was ‘epic’. So look out world because this next tour is going to be an Oscar winner! And its going IN-TER-NATION-AL.
The Annie Mac Tour
Yep, Annie’s got her motley crew together, a few special surprises and her passport packed and is taking this fourth tour around the country and across the waters to the U S of A for a right royal ruckus, stopping in Miami for the WMC at the Gansvoort Hotel, then onto the legendary Webster Hall in NYC, rounding it off Westside to LA to the world famous Avalon. Its gonna be big!
Plus, the London date on this tour has grown into an almighty show taking place at Camden’s Koko. This gig features Little Boots, Chase & Status feat. Takura, Rage & Plan B, The Count & Sinden, Mujava, and the mighty Toddla T.
“Last years AMP tour was epic, we saw Erol Alkan and A Trak and myself play to a tiny room in Bournemouth, we had a 'one on one off' french DJ rave up in Liverpool with DJ Mehdi, Busy P and Xavier from Justice and we had total roadblock in Leeds with Ladyhawke.
“We made TV shows of the tour, Erol waxed lyrical about the resurgence of disco, I sang Celine Dion in a boat on Brighton beach and Xavier from Justice finally revealed the true identity of Fake Blood. (Woody Harrelson in case you're wondering) It was a proper adventure as the AMP tours always seem to be and I’m delighted to be doing another Spring tour.
“Again the line-ups are about the music I believe in at the moment, we've got everyone from Chase And Status to Crookers to Calvin Harris to Friendly Fires and again we'll be filming it all. We're going international to NYC, Miami and LA, we’re taking over London's Koko for a proper mash up night and going to all those places we missed on the last tour, watch out Glasgow, Dublin and Derry!!
