London’s Hyde Park has been home to the capital’s most sensational summer concerts for over four decades and next year’s Wireless is shaping up to be another unmissable highlight.  Entering its sixth consecutive year next year, Wireless is proud to announce that P!NK will headline on Friday 2 July.

Joined by special guests The Ting Tings, P!NK will make history as the first female to ever headline a Wireless Festival - following in the footsteps of JAY-Z, White Stripes, Kanye West, Morrissey, Fatboy Slim and Daft Punk along with many others in its five-year history.

Live Nation, promoters of Wireless, today announced ticket details and on sale date.  Friday headliner P!NK and special guests The Ting Tings are the first of many big name artists to be announced to play across the park’s four stages. Further dates and acts will be announced in the coming weeks.

With a record breaking tour under her belt this will be P!NK’s first ever open-air London show, making this a whole new live experience. She is an artist who has achieved global fame with her special brand of high octane, dazzling performances. She has sold more than 30 million albums worldwide with her current Funhouse Tour already established as one of highest grossing world tours tour of 2009.

P!NK said: “I am so excited to headline Wireless festival. Hyde Park is such a legendary place to play and I feel so honoured that I am going to be the first female to headline the festival. Hyde Park better get ready for the Funhouse!”

Fresh from supporting P!nk on her first US headline tour, festival favourites The Ting Tings will be hitting the Wireless stage on Friday 2 July. The Pop Rock duo are sure to bring an electric performance to Hyde Park having declared their name in music, as the pleasingly popular second single ‘That’s Not My Name’ sold over one million digital copies world wide.

After last years acclaimed line-up with that saw headliners Basement Jaxx and Kayne West performing amazing sets to tens of thousands in Hyde Park, P!NK will be sure to set the bar even higher with her headline appearance.

Following multiple sell outs for past Wireless festivals, Live Nation promoter Steve Homer is looking forward to another groundbreaking year in the heart of London. He commented, “Now in our sixth year and it only gets better and better. Last year’s success was phenomenal and I guarantee that Wireless 2010 will take things to a new level”

Hyde Park is an iconic location for some of the greatest names in musical history such as The Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, Bruce Springsteen, Neil Young, Roger Waters, The Who, Aerosmith, Eric Clapton, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Foo Fighters and The Police as well as many more.

Wireless 2010 is a phenomenal open-air live music experience in the heart of bustling London. It offers a chance to experience the excitement and watch the best in popular music right on your doorstep; and with more acts and details still to be unveiled, Wireless 2010 is set to be the big event on the summer’s musical calendar.
