Motley Crue star Vince Neil has scrapped an upcoming Mexico gig over fears for his and fans' safety.
The rocker was scheduled to perform solo at the Woodstock Plaza in Monterrey on Friday, but recent outbreaks of violence in the area have prompted him to cancel the show.
A statement from promoter Gabe Reed reads, "After a lengthy evaluation, we determined that the present security situation in Monterrey was unstable and decided it was not worth putting anyone at risk."
The concert is the final date on Neil's South American Tattoos & Tequila tour.
