Melt! organisers announce further acts to perform at the 15th edition of the festival from 13th to 15th July 2012. Joining a spectacularly eclectic line-up that includes Justice, Bloc Party, Richie Hawtin, Gossip, Maya Jane Coles, M83 and Caribou are some impressive musical gems that promise to ensure the 15th edition of Melt! Festival is the finest year to date.

First up and fresh out of the studio, where he’s been working with producer Mark Ronson on his seventh studio album, Out of the Game, is singer Rufus Wainwright, who will be making a very welcome return to the Ferropolis peninsular to perform brand new songs from the album. Also returning to Melt!

For their second performance is Brooklyn-based Yeasayer, who burst onto the scene a few years back amid a renaissance of vibrant and imaginative New York rock.

The experimental post-punk trio have been back in the studio working on the follow-up to 2010's 'Odd Blood' album so we can’t wait to see what they have in store for us. Next and making their Melt! Festival debut is Canadian new wave band Austra who will perform their spherically dark, brooding debut album Feel It Break.

Brooklynite George Lewis, Jr. a.k.a. Twin Shadow will also perform beneath the giant diggers, drawing a line from Caribbean percussion to 80s romanticism.

Adding more of an electronic flavour to proceedings is man of the moment John Talabot who will perform live and get behind the DJ booth. The Barcelona based artist’s recently released album Fin on Permanent Vacation, with it’s lush, sonic soundscapes, has already been touted as an early contender for electronic album of the year and is without doubt the most perfect soundtrack for the stunning Ferropolis backdrop with it’s imposing industrial landscape and breathtaking light show.

Continuing the electronic theme, Austria’s "techno-tanzband" Elektro Guzzi will blur the limits of analogue and digital music as they bring their groundbreaking live show to Melt. Also confirmed to DJ are Visionquest and Crosstown Rebels star Seth Troxler as well as the Berlin-based Tales Of Us.

And it doesn’t stop there as German rapper Casper celebrates his Melt! premiere with his critically acclaimed sophomore album XOXO, which stormed to number 1 in the German album charts on it’s release in 2011 and Willy Moon reinterprets the 50s out of a 21st century perspective with his single 'I Wanna Be Your Man'.

The line-up is hotting up and there’s still more to be announced so watch this space. Make sure you keep up to date with all of the latest news by checking www.meltfestival.de and the Melt Facebook page.

Tickets for the Mixery Melt! Hotel Train, which rides from Cologne to Ferropolis, are also still available. Besides offering an eco-friendly travel option to Melt! for 600 festivalgoers, the train will also accommodate all passengers for the duration of the festival.

The hotel train is one reason Melt! Festival just recently won the 'Green 'N' Clean Festival Award of the Year' at the European Festival Awards.
