The Isle of Wight Festival has raised the stakes once again adding four of the hottest acts - Florence + The Machine, La Roux, N-Dubz and The Hold Steady to the already blistering line up. Taking place on the stunning Isle of Wight the Festival boasts an incredible bill.
Florence Welch and her Machine bring their critically and universally loved live performance to the main stage on Friday prior to Jay-Z. The band continue to go from strength to strength with their chart topping album ‘Lungs’, winning praise from critics, gathering a huge army of fans up and down the country. Florence has a reputation for performing amazing, spellbinding shows, which promise to wow the Isle of Wight crowds.
The Big Top on Saturday will be host to dance vibes and electro sounds. Synthpop duo La Roux will rock the tent with N-Dubz, pop princesses The Saturdays and bringing the night to a close the Big Top will be headlined by dance’s finest Orbital.
Bursting onto the scene in 2009, La Roux is made up of uniquely edgy singer Eleanor Jackson and synth player, co-writer and co-producer Ben Langmaid. The band have enjoyed critical acclaim and massive success with hits In For The Kill, Bulletproof and Quicksand - taken from their self-titled debut album.
Urban three-piece N-Dubz transcended all expectations with their debut album ‘Uncle B’, selling over 500,000 copies in the UK alone giving the band six hit singles. With a No.1 single under their belts in the form of ‘Number One’, their massive collaboration with Tinchy Stryder, two MOBO Awards for ‘Best UK Act’ and ‘Best Album’, plus a critically acclaimed sell out UK tour completed, N-Dubz are the voice of a generation.
Gracing the mainstage on Saturday before Paloma Faith are Brooklyn based The Hold Steady. The band who have four studio albums under their belts will be bringing their mix of classic riff based rock to the Festival for the first time.
Each year The Isle of Wight Festival brings amazing line-ups to Seaclose Park, Newport. From 11th – 13th June the festival will showcase an inspired bill of international superstars and exciting, emerging new acts including Jay-Z, The Strokes, Blondie, Vampire Weekend, The Saturdays, Daisy Dares You and many, many more more.
