Das Pop
Having gigged relentlessly this year, supporting everyone from Justice to Gossip to their current partners on the road, Alphabeat, Das Pop have just confirmed their first ever UK headline tour. The 12 date tour starts next February and culminates in Das Pop’s biggest ever headline London show at the ICA.
Das Pop will release a very limited 7 inch single on 24th November. Limited to 250 copies, ‘Try Again’ is produced by Soulwax. Catchy, raucous, and eminently danceable, ‘Try Again’ is a nugget of garage-pop gold.
Das Pop are Bent Van Looy (vocals), Niek Meul (bass), Reinhard Vanbergen (guitar) and Matt Eccles (drums). Apart from Matt, a Kiwi, Das Pop originally hail from Ghent in Belgium, though they now base themselves in Paris and London. Their debut album, also produced by Soulwax, will be released in Spring 2009.
