In a new move to support the support Challenge 21 initiative already in place at Creamfields, organizers have teamed up with validate UK to ensure that the festival runs as smoothly as possible.
Creamfields and Validate UK are to offer proof of age cards for Over 18âs and ensure festival-goers donât need to bring valuable documents like passports to enter or buy drinks at this years 10th Anniversary festival.
Instead revellers can apply for Validate Proof Of Age cards online where they will receive a 10% discount when they apply for the single cards. Anyone who can demonstrate proof of age on the day will then be issued with a wristband thus allowing them to enjoy a care-free weekend and get on with having fun.
James Barton MD of Creamfields said*: âUnderage drinking is one the most talked about current social concerns and Creamfields has a decade of expertise at tacking these sort of issueâs at their festivals. By keeping the event strictly over 18âs we are committed to helping create the best possible festival experience and looking after the safety of our audiences.â
Creamfields have formed this action plan in the same week as the Scottish Government have announced new laws to tackle underage drinking that include raising the legal age to 21 when purchasing alcohol from shops or supermarkets and raising the price of alcohol. Creamfields is committed to looking after festival goers and giving them the best weekend of the summer.
Validate ID Cards guarantee a seamless experience and this latest move gives festival goers plenty of time to prepare for the event, Creamfields are dedicated to tackling underage clubbing and providing the best festival experience for everyone.
Carol Brodie of VALIDATE UK said; âThe Creamfields 10th birthday will be a brilliant weekend and VALIDATE UK is delighted to be part of the team; strict legislation dictates the sale of alcohol, cigarettes and other age related products and Creamfields display their absolute commitment to the safety of the event by working together with us to ensure that those products are only sold to those old enough to buy them.
Carrying a VALIDATE UK card at Creamfields means you donât need to take valuable documents like passports and driving licences and because they are PASS accredited they will be accepted for the purchase of alcohol. Thereâs a fantastic line up with a dedicated team working behind the scenes to make it soâ¦.have a grand time !â
