Counting Crows

Counting Crows have been forced to postpone their forthcoming UK Tour due to unexpected personal and work commitments in the USA. Tour Dates have been re-scheduled as below and all tickets are valid for the new dates.

Official comment from the band: “We are really so sorry that due to a variety of circumstances we have had to postpone our dates in December and disappoint all our British fans. However, we have re-scheduled our tour and look forward to seeing you all in May 2009.

It’s great that Wembley Arena is sold out and as a bonus we are adding a Brixton Academy show for an even more close up and personal Counting Crows intimate London show. We’re planning some really special UK shows and look forward to seeing everyone.”

Counting Crows were the first band in the O2 Wireless Festival’s 4-year history to perform in front of a sell-out crowd in London’s Hyde Park. Following this achievement, Live Nation is proud to present the band during their much awaited Autumn tour of the UK.

Counting Crows are a global phenomenon with a host of multiple platinum albums and Top 10 chart placings worldwide. Counting Crows have been a huge presence in the music world; from initial hit single Mr.Jones to 2005’s Accidentally In Love from the Shrek 2 soundtrack which saw the Californian band perform at the Academy Awards.

New album Saturday Nights and Sunday Mornings released on March 24th saw the band split their musical personality with the rock Saturday Nights produced by Gil Norton (of Pixies and Foo Fighters fame) whilst the more acoustic Sunday Mornings portion sees Brian Deck (Modest Mouse, Iron and Wine) at the desk.

Under the banner “Counting Crows – Live from Hyde Park”, ticket buyers will be offered a link to download five free live tracks of Counting Crows’ spectacular live performance from their recent headlining appearance at their sell-out date at the O2 Wireless Festival in Hyde Park, London. Live tracks include: Have You Seen Me Lately, Colorblind and Anna Begins, plus Le Ballet d’Or and Hanging Tree, from their latest studio album ‘Saturday Nights & Sunday Mornings.”
