Following on from his recently released Sticker, Star and Tape EP, Sam Issac has announced the release of a special iTunes only beat-fantastic remix ep, which includes three remixes of âSticker Star and Tapeâ from electo-acoustic wizard James Yuill, folk-disco man Rod Thomas and Steve Brown. A remix by James Yuill is attached to this email.
Samâs six-track EP, Sticker, Stars and Tape, was released in October through Big Scary Monsters Records. Lead track "Sticker, Star and Tape" has already seen plays from Radio 1âs Huw Stephens, Colin Murray and Rob Da Bank, and was names âHottest Record in The Worldâ on the Zane Lowe show.
Further support has come from John Kennedy and Jon Hillcock at XFM. Sticker, Star and Tape is the first recording from the sessions for the debut album Bears which will be released in early 2009. If youâd like a promo copy of the EP please let me know.
Over the summer, Sam has played a plethora of festivals including V Festival, Big Chill, Latitude and Secret Garden Party; and in October he went on a mammoth, three-week, full-band tour of the UK in âFlorenceâ, his newly bought ex-postal van. Sam is now set to go on the road again playing a series of UK dates including four Club NME shows, full details for the tour below.
