Earlier this year, Jonathan Ansell released his debut album which raced to the top of the classical charts, stormed into the pop charts at number 9, and established him as a major star.
This autumn will see him add to his growing army of fans with the release of his stunning new album, Forever; he will also be appearing in two major nationwide tours, as well as performing the official theme tune for English Rugby League. Jonathan Ansell is poised to become the next major figure in British entertainment.
Forever was recorded by Grant Mitchell at Ealing Film Studios studios, and in contrast to Jonathanâs debut album (which saw him record versions of classic movie theme tunes), it features blockbusting classical and popular hits that have thrilled and seduced audiences over the years.
Jonathan shows he can sing operatic repertoire with precision, emotion and power in numbers such as Canto Della Terra and Nessun Dorma; but he also proves that his grasp of popular songs is as strong as ever, laying down extraordinary renditions of Who Wants to Live Forever, and If Youâre Not the One.
Other highlights are a haunting version of Sigur Rosâ Hoppipolla, and a beautiful Panis Angelicus, in which Jonathan is backed by the Crouch End Festival Choir. This second album proves that Jonathan Ansell is not only a top flight singer of classical and popular songs, but a fully fledged star in his own right, who has a glittering career ahead of him.
