Jason is such a gifted singer, musician and songwriter Janice Long, BBC Radio 2As a precocious youth, Jasons talent for the piano became apparent after a fall knocked him unconscious, resulting in him being awarded a music scholarship at a prestigious school. Spending the first 10 years of his life in Japan, the piano dominated his free time before he relocated to Cardiff and pursued a doctorate in Psychology, something that would later arise in his music making when he was asked to provide some incidental piano for a Japanese film designed to aid memory. Jason was also showered with attention after his appearances at SXSW, in 2007, which led him onto national TV via ITV1s This Morning and national radio via Janice Longs show on BBC Radio 2. Musically, his debut mini album Six Hours is a fine work of heartfelt lyrics and intelligent song writing which showcases a truly complete musician. The records title track nods to the likes of The Fray in its transition from the dainty opening hook to the rousing chorus. Forthcoming single Roses is already on the airwaves of BBC Wales and owes as much to the USAs emotionally charged songwriters Dashboard Confessional or Jimmy Eat World as it does to Counting Crows or Goo Goo Dolls. Whatever your reference point, Six Hours makes for a stirring introduction to a wonderful prospect.
