As rumours are getting all but confirmed that the Spice Girls are set to return for the closing ceremony of the Olympics this weekend (the Sun’s gotten photos of the five of them at rehersals) here at FemaleFirst we thought we’d give you our thoughts on the prospect of seeing them live one more time.
Helen –
Spice Girls should not come back because it sullies the great memories – it is just not the same and the nostalgia is not the same as Take That.
Shabana –
The Spice Girls are my childhood and I still listen to them now to relive the good old days. Their music was fun and they captured the hearts of both the young and older generation with their records and personalities. They had so much to offer musically and socially, inspiring young girls’ fashion and style and promoting the whole ‘girl power’ motto. It certainly used to give me a lot of confidence as a young girl to take more risks. And that’s why I love the Spice Girls – they were fearless and from the get go just dominated the 90s music scene worldwide! I can’t wait for to see them reunite at the Olympics closing ceremony – it’s what their fans have been waiting for, for a long time!
Cara –
I remember when I first saw the Spice Girls live when I was back in Primary School. My mum and dad picked me and my sister up from school, didn't tell us where we were going and just took us to see them in Birmingham, I was so excited and I swear, I'm just as excited by this reunion. Long time coming and I seriously can't wait for Sunday!

I’d love for them to come back at the ceremony, blow it out of the water and then leave again forever. Just one performance and that’s it. I was never the biggest Spice Girls fan, but the way they spread the UK around the world was amazing. They were a phenomenon, I just hope they can put on something like a good show and keep those memories alive.
