R&B crooner Lyfe Jennings has become a father for the fourth time while he serves out a three and a half year spell in Jail.
The singer, real name Chester Jennings, has been incarcirated since 2008 after an assault on his ex girlfriend Joy Bounds, resulting in shots being fired into her home and Jennings leading police on a high street chase.
But he had a reason to smile in March when he learned his actress fiancee Marquita Goings had given birth to their first child together, a baby boy they have named Lyfe Michael Jennings, reports Sister 2 Sister magazine.
However this is not the first time Jennings has had a brush with the law.
In 1992 Jennings served a 10 year jail term for Arson which pushed him to turn his life around. When released, he concentrated on his music and rekindled his faith in christianity.
The 37 year old is also a dad to two sons and a daughter from previous relationships.
