One of the movies of 2014 that we are already looking forward to is X-Men: Days of Future Past.
I have always been a big fan of the X-Men franchise and it is going to be great see the new characters meet those from the original films.
So we take a look at what we know about the movie so far?
- Bryan Singer is back in the director's chair.
Many did expect Matthew Vaughn to return after leading X-Men: First Class to box office success. But it was announced that he wasn't returning Bryan Singer seemed like the only and obvious choice.
It will be the first X-Men movie for Singer since he directed the fantastic X2 back in 2003.
- James McAvoy and co will be back.
The core cast of First Class will be back; James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence and Nicholas Hoult.
They will be reprising the roles of Charles Xavier, Magneto, Mystique and Beast; but things between them all will not be as friendly as the first.
- We will be seeing plenty of characters from the original franchise.
Bryan Singer is set to mix both franchises together and that means Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellan, Hugh Jackman and Halle Berry are all back.
Some of the other old favourites back include Anna Paquin, Ellen Page and Shawn Ashmore.
- Peter Dinklage is the big new addition
Everyone is loving Peter Dinklage at the moment for his performance in Game of Thrones, but he is set to take on the role of Bolivar Trask.
Even Peters is another new addition and he will take on the role of Quicksilver; yes the say character that is set to appear in The Avengers: Age of Ultron.
Omar Sy is also on the cast list and is set to play Bishop in the movie.
- The film will contain time travel
It was revealed at Comic Con that we are going to see Hugh Jackman travel back to his seventies body to try and convince Magneto and Xavier that they need to mend their differences.
At it in 1973 where we are going to see the vast majority of the movie take place; this is eleven years after the event of First Class.
- We are going to see the Sentinels
For the first time in the X-Men franchise we are going to see the Sentinels, the robots that kill mutants.
We got the first teaser of them in the video advert for Trask industries - the company that is found by Boliver Trask aka Peter Dinklage.
X-Men: Days of Future Past is released 22nd May 2014.
