The release of Avengers 2 is already one of the most talked about and highly anticipated movies despite the fact that the release of the movie is two years away.
It has already been revealed that Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver will be two of the new additions to the cast list - and now it seems that we will be seeing the latter in X-Men: Days of Future Past.
And it has been revealed this week that Evan Peters has landed the role of Quicksilver in the latest X-Men movie; a role that will no doubt send his star rocketing. But will this latest casting throw a spanner in Joss Whedon’s plans? And who is Evan Peters?
Peters kicked off his career back in 2004 with movie Clipping Adam and Sleepover before moving into television with The Days and Phil of the Future.
More recently the actor has continued to move between the two mediums with movies such as Kick Ass and Never Back Down 2: The Beatdown but it is TV where he has been making waves.
If you are into your teen TV then you will know Peters for his role as Jack Daniela in hit show One Tree Hill before going on to small roles in The Office and The Mentalist.
He received critical praise for his role as Tate Langdon in the first season of the hit show American Horror Story and this really has been his breakthrough role that has raised his profile.
He went on to take on the role of Kit Walker in America Horror Story: Asylum which was also very well met critically.
However X-Men: Days of Future Past would see the twenty six year old move his career into another gear as this would be his biggest movie to date.
Bryan Singer is back in the director’s chair while the likes of James McAvoy, Hugh Jackman and Patrick Stewart are all on board.
And it was Singer himself who revealed on Twitter on Thursday that Peters was aboard the movie when he posted:

Quicksilver and twin sister Scarlet Witch are the children of Magneto - who will be played by both Michael Fassbender and Ian McKellan in X-Men: Days of Future Past. Quicksilver is blessed with super speed while his sister can manipulate probability.
But there are a whole host of questions that need to be answered such as if we are going to see Quicksilver in X-Men: Days of Future Past will we still be seeing him in Avengers 2?
Moreover if Whedon continues with his plan to include Quicksilver in the second Avengers film will Peters reprise the role or will the part be recast?
X-Men: Days of Future Past is made by Fox while Avengers is made by Disney and characters have not crossed over the past - could all that be about to change?
No matter what happens the role of Quicksilver in X-Men: Days of Future Past is set to be the major breakthrough film part for Peters. Over the next twelve months we are going to see the American actor’s star really rise.
Filming on X-Men: Days of Future Past is currently underway and will be released in 18th July 2014.
