Channing Tatum is a bit of a favourite here at FemaleFirst and he will be back on the big screen this September in White House Down.
White House Down sees the actor step into the action role as he teams up with director Roland Emmerich for the first time.
Emmerich is famed for his big budget blockbuster films with the likes of Independence Day and The Day After Tomorrow under his belt but this is his first film since Anonymous.
Tatum will take on the role of a Capitol Policeman who is called upon to protect the U.S. President, played by Jamie Foxx.
This is the first time that Tatum and Foxx have starred together and it is set to be a high octane action ride for both of them.
A great supporting cast is also on board as Maggie Gyllenhaal, Jason Clarke and Richard Jenkins will also star.
Capitol Policeman John Cale (Tatum) has just been denied his dream job with the Secret Service of protecting President James Sawyer (Foxx).
Not wanting to let down his little girl with the news, he takes her on a tour of the White House, when the complex is overtaken by a heavily armed paramilitary group.
Now, with the nation’s government falling into chaos and time running out, it’s up to Cale to save the president, his daughter, and the country.
I know we have already seen a movie in this vein in 2013 in the form of Olympus Has Fallen but White House Down looks set to be an equally intense and exciting ride.
If you haven't had chance to see the trailer yet then you should check it our as it looks like Tatum and Foxx are going to make a great team.
White House Down is released 6th September
