Miles Teller is a name that you are going to be hearing a lot over the next twelve months, as he is an actor well and truly on the rise.
Teller was on the cast list for the likes of 21 & Over and The Spectacular Now in 2013, and now he is back with That Awkward Moment.
That Awkward Moment sees Teller team up with Zac Efron and Michael B. Jordan, for what promises to be a laugh out loud buddy comedy.
The movie marks the directorial debut of Tom Gormican, and follows three friends as they find themselves at that confusing moment in every dating relationship when you have to decide, "So...where is this going?"
That Awkward Moment looks set to be a comedy not to miss, and it kicks off a very busy and varied year for the actor.
Teller is on the cast list for Whiplash - a movie that has already been lighting up Sundance Film Festival audiences.
Director Damien Chazelle made Whiplash as a short back in 2013, and now he has extended it into a feature film.
Teller takes on the central role, in a film that follows a young musician who is struggling to make it as a jazz drummer.
J.K. Simmons and Austin Stowell are also on the cast list. Whiplash went on to win both the audience and jury prizes for American dramatic film, and really was the stand out film of the festival.
Teller is also set to step into the blockbuster genre later this year, as Divergent heads to the big screen.
Divergent is a big screen adaptation of the novel of the same name by Veronica Roth. Divergent is latest young adult novel adaptation to hit the big screen, and will see Teller as part of an impressive ensemble cast.
Teller will take on the supporting role of Peter, alongside Shailene Woodley, Theo James, Kate Winslet, Ray Stevenson, Maggie Q, and Ashley Judd.
Divergent is a thrilling action-adventure set in a future world where people are divided into distinct factions based on their personalities. Tris Prior (Woodley) is warned she is Divergent and will never fit into any one group.
When she discovers a conspiracy to destroy all Divergents, she must find out what makes being Divergent so dangerous before it’s too late.
Divergent will kick off the trilogy with Insurgent and Allegiant already in the pipeline. This could well be the movie that really does send Teller's star rocketing.
Peter is one of Divergent's most interesting characters who goes on a real journey throughout the course of the three books - let’s hope we do get to see this arc play out on the big screen.
Teller has already given some terrific performances over the last couple of years: The Spectacular Now being one of the movies that stand out.
And with the projects that he has on the horizon, Teller's star is only going one way... and that is up.
That Awkward Moment is released 29th September.
