Felicity Jones is a name that you really need to watch out for this year, as she has a fantastic 2014 ahead.
Jones has been quietly making a name for herself over the last couple of years, but the next twelve months looks set to send her star rocketing.
She is back on the big screen this week as she teams up with Ralph Fiennes for the first time for The Invisible Woman.
I have had the chance to see The Invisible Woman, and Jones really does give a mighty performance as Nelly Ternin.
The movie is based on the book by Claire Tomalin that looked at the life of Nelly: the secret mistress of Charles Dickens.
Fiennes is in the director's chair for the film, as well as taking on the role of Dickens.
It is a controlled performance from Jones, as Nelly is a young woman who doesn’t wear her heart on her sleeve and yet there is a real strength to her.
She may be in love with a man who can never truly be hers, but she remains loyal to him until his death.
The Invisible Woman is a beautiful movie and kicks off a very busy year for Jones.
Jones' next project will see her go from period drama to blockbuster, as she is one of the new faces on the cast list for The Amazing Spider Man 2.
The Amazing Spider Man 2 comes two years after the success of the first film, and will see Jones step into the big budget blockbuster for the very first time.
The movie will see her star alongside Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone, while Jamie Foxx and Paul Giamatti are also new faces on board.
The Amazing Spider Man 2 is set to be a box office smash when it hits the big screen later this year, and could well be the film that sends Jones' star rocketing.
As if those two projects were not enough, Jones has also completed work on True Story and Theory of Everything.
The latter sees her return to the biopic drama, for a film about Stephen Hawking and the relationship he had with his wife.
Jones will play Jane Hawking in the film, alongside Eddie Redmayne, Emily Watson, David Thewlis, and Maxine Peake.
2014 is set to be a busy and very varied year for Jones as she is on the verge of becoming a major big screen star.
The Invisible Woman is released 7th February in London & 21st February nationwide.
