Ben-Hur is set to be one of the must-see movie events of the autumn as the classic story of Judah Ben-Hur is brought to the big screen for a new generation.

Ben-Hur

Ben-Hur

The movie marks the return of Timur Bekmambetov to the director's chair and is a remake of the 1959 classic, which is based on the book Ben-Hur: A Tale of the Christ by Lew Wallace.

Jack Huston take over the role of Judah Ben-Hur - which was made famous by Charlton Heston over fifty years ago - and you can see him in action in this great new clip from the film. Take a look:

Huston is one of the most exciting British actors around and Ben-Hur sees him team up with filmmaker Bekmambetov for the first time. Bekmambetov has brought us movies such as Wanted and Day Watch in recent years and this is his first feature since Yolki 1914 back in 2014.

John Ridley, who won an Oscar for his work on the 12 Years A Slave screenplay, teams up with Keith R. Clarke to pen the script.

The director has brought together a terrific cast as Toby Kebbell, Rodrigo Santoro, Nazanin Boniadi, Morgan Freeman, Ayelet Zurer, and Pilou Asbæk all star alongside Huston.

Ben-Hur is the epic story of Judah Ben-Hur (Huston), a prince falsely accused of treason by his adopted brother Messala (Kebbell), an officer in the Roman army.

Stripped of his title, separated from his family and the woman he loves (Boniadi), Judah is forced into slavery. After years at sea, Judah returns to his homeland to seek revenge, but finds redemption.

Ben-Hur is a timeless story and I cannot wait to see this adaptation, which brings this tale to a new audience.

Ben-Hur is released 7th September.
