When it comes to the summer blockbusters that are on the horizon, Warcraft: The Beginning is one that I am looking forward to the most as it marks the return of Duncan Jones to the director's chair.
Jones is one of the most exciting filmmakers around and has already brought us Moon and Source Code - this is the biggest film of his career to date, and I really cannot wait to see what he delivers.
Warcraft is based on the popular video game series of the same name and sees Jones team up with Charles Leavitt to turn it into a screenplay.
It really is promising to be the biggest action/fantasy film of the year and the brand new trailer has arrived and promises much:
Could this be the video game movie that finally succeeds at the box office and wins over audiences? I guess we are going to have to wait and see.
Travis Fimmel is set to take on the central role of Anduin Lothar and is joined on the cast list by Clancy Brown, Robert Kazinsky, Paula Patton, Ben Foster, Toby Kebbell, Dominic Cooper, and Ruth Negga.
The peaceful realm of Azeroth stands on the brink of war as its civilization faces a fearsome race of invaders: Orc warriors fleeing their dying home to colonize another. As a portal opens to connect the two worlds, one army faces destruction and the other faces extinction.
From opposing sides, two heroes are set on a collision course that will decide the fate of their family, their people and their home. So begins a spectacular saga of power and sacrifice in which war has many faces, and everyone fights for something.
Warcraft: The Beginning is released 30th May.
