Upstream Colour has already been whipping the critics into a frenzy in the U.S. and now the movie is coming to UK shores.
The film is the second directorial outing for the super talented Shane Carruth, and the first since he made his debut with Primer.
Upstream Colour is one of the autumn movies that we are looking forward to here at FemaleFirst and we have some fantastic new images from the film to share with you.
Carruth has penned the screenplay and will produce and star in the movie as well as being in the director’s chair.
A man and woman are drawn together, entangled in the lifecycle of an ageless organism.
Identity becomes an illusion as they struggle to assemble the loose fragments of wrecked lives.
Carruth will take on the central role of Jeff in the film while Amy Seimetz, Andrew Sensenig and Thiago Martins are also on the cast list.
Upstream Colour first started making a buzz at the Sundance Film Festival at the beginning of the year - it went on to received the Special Jury Award for Sound Design then - and the movie has been receiving rave reviews ever since.
The end of the summer blockbuster season is upon us and we are heading into the autumn when all of the film festival and awards contender movies begin to surface.
So if you are looking to get away from the big CGI driven movies for a while and are looking for a little indie drama, then Upstream Colour looks set to be the best place to start.
