Michael Fassbender is one the most in demand actors in Hollywood, and is back on the big screen this week with Frank.
Fassbender has already given one mesmerising performance this year, in the critically acclaimed 12 Years A Slave: a role for which he was Oscar nominated.
And we are going to be seeing plenty of him over the next year or so, with a string of exciting projects on the horizon.
Frank has lit up the festival circuit so far this year, winning over audiences at Sundance and Sundance London.
The movie sees Fassbender team up with director Lenny Abrahamson for the first time, as he takes on the title role.
Frank is set to be one of the most off beat and original films that we are going to see in 2014, as Fassbender stars alongside Maggie Gyllenhaal and Domhnall Gleeson.
Frank follows a young wannabe musician, Jon (Gleeson), who finds himself out of his depth when he joins an avant-garde pop band led by the mysterious and enigmatic Frank (Fassbender), a musical genius who hides himself inside a large fake head, and his terrifying bandmate Clara (Gyllenhaal).
Sadly, we won't be seeing Fassbender's pretty face on the big screen in Frank - he will be under the fake head - but it does promise to be another terrific performance.
X-Men: Days of Future Past sees Fassbender return to the role of Magneto for the second time: this is the long awaited sequel to X-Men: First Class.
The movie will see Fassbender reunite with James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, and Nicholas Hoult, while he stars alongside Hugh Jackman, Ian McKellen, and Patrick Stewart for the first time.
Days of Future Past, looks set to be a box office smash this summer; - if you haven't seen the trailer then you really should check it out, as it looks so epic.
The beloved characters from the original 'X-Men' film trilogy join forces with their younger selves from 'X-Men: First Class' in an epic battle that must change the past - to save our future.
I have to say, this is one of the summer movies that I cannot wait to see, as I really like Fassbender in the role of Magneto: it is going to be interesting to see how he develops this character further.
Slow West is another film that Fassbender has completed work on, as he teams up with director John Maclean.
Maclean will make his feature film directorial debut with Slow West: he has also penned the screenplay for the film.
A great cast has been assembled for the film, as Fassbender is joined by Rory McCann, Kodi Smit-McPhee, and Ben Mendelsohn.
Slow West follows a 17-year-old boy on a journey across 19th Century frontier America in search of the woman he loves, while accompanied by mysterious traveller Silas.
No U.S. or UK release date for Slow West has yet been released.
Fassbender has worked with some of Hollywood's biggest directors in recent years, and 2014 will see him work with Terrence Malick.
Fassbender has completed work on the as yet untitled Terrence Malick project, as he stars alongside Christian Bale, Natalie Portman, Ryan Gosling, Rooney Mara, Cate Blanchett, and Benicio Del Toro - it really is one of the most impressive cast lists of the year.
Not much is yet known about this Malick movie - he has also penned the screenplay - except it will follow two different love triangles.
Malick has always made complex and interesting movies, and I cannot wait to see his latest offering.
Macbeth is one of Shakespeare's most iconic characters, and Fassbender is set to play the role on the big screen next year.
Macbeth is the latest adaptation of the Shakespeare play: the movie will be directed by Justin Kurzel.
While Fassbender is set to play Macbeth, Marion Cotillard will play Lady Macbeth. David Thewlis, Elizabeth Debicki, Jack Reynor, and Paddy Considine are also on board.
This is the first Shakespeare adaptation Fassbender has been involved with on the big screen, and I am looking forward to seeing how he interprets this famous literary figure.
Fassbender has also been linked to roles in Trespass Against Us, Assassin's Creed, and Prometheus 2.
Frank is released 9th May.
