Inside Out

Inside Out

I know that we are not even half way through 2014 yet, but there are a clutch of 2015 films that I just cannot wait to see.

And it is not just the blockbuster that we are excited about, as there are also drama, horror and animation films that have got us all in a tizzy.

We count down the top seven movies that we think you absolutely have to see next year.

7. Inside Out - released 31st July

No summer is complete without a Pixar movie hitting the big screen, and 2015 sees them deliver something original and new.

Pete Docter is back in the director's chair, for his first film since the huge success of the terrific Up.

Michael Arndt has penned the screenplay, and is a film told from the perspective of the emotions inside the mind of a little girl. It really does promise to be something completely different.

Amy Poehler, Mindy Kaling, Bill Hader and Pixar favourite John Ratzenberger, have all lent their voices to the project.

Pixar really have been the driving animation force in recent years, and it is great to seen them moving away from sequels in 2015. Can't wait to see what they deliver with this.

6. Heart of the Sea - released 13th March

The last time that director Ron Howard teamed up with Chris Hemsworth, they delivered the fantastic Rush: it really was my favourite film of last year.

I am excited to see the pair reunite for Heart of the Sea: which is an adaptation of the novel In The Heart of the Sea by Nathaniel Philbrick.

A very exciting cast has been assembled for the film, as Hemsworth is joined by Cillian Murphy, Brendan Gleeson, Ben Whishaw, and Tom Holland.

Based on the 1820 event, a whaling ship is preyed upon by a sperm whale, stranding its crew at sea for 90 days, thousands of miles from home.

Heart of the Sea will be the first film for Howard since the huge success of Rush, and I can't wait to see him return with this incredibly different project.

5. Cinderella - released 3rd April

We have seen a whole host of fairy stories been give live action makeovers in recent years, and Cinderella gets similar treatment next year.

Cinderella marks the return of Kenneth Branagh to the director's chair, in what will be his first film since Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit.

Aline Brosh McKenna and Chris Weitz have penned the screenplay, and the film is already in post-production.

The movie follows Ella, who finds herself at the mercy of her cruel stepmother and stepsisters after her father passes away.

Lily James will take on the central character, while Hayley Atwell, Richard Madden, Helena Bonham Carter, Cate Blanchett, and Stellan Skarsgard are just some of the names on board.

As you see, Cinderella also promises to boast one of the best ensemble cast lists of 2015 as well.

4. Frankenstein - released 2nd October

When it comes to horror films, there is no greater story than that of Frankenstein. A re-telling of the Mary Shelley novel is set to hit the big screen next year, and it is one of the horror films I cannot wait to see.

Paul McGuigan is back in the director's chair for his first feature film since Push... and he has brought together a cast list that I am super excited to see.

James McAvoy will take on the role of Victor Von Frankenstein, while Daniel Radcliffe has been cast as Igor: I really can't wait to see these two fine British actors share the big screen.

Jessica Brown Findlay, Andrew Scott, Mark Gattis, and Freddie Fox complete the line-up.

One set images for Frankenstein really have got me excited, but we are going to have to wait over a year before we see the final result. Could this be THE horror film of the year? I have my fingers tightly crossed.

3. Crimson Peak - released 16th October

Another horror film that I am super excited about is Crimson Peak, as Guillermo del Toro is back in the director's chair.

Del Toro is one of my favourite filmmakers and he really does know have to make a film that sends a chill down your spine.

Filming is currently underway on Crimson Peak, which follows Edith Cushing as she discovers her new husband is not all he seems to be.

Mia Wasikowska will play Edith, while Tom Hiddleston, Charlie Hunnam, and Jessica Chastain are also on board.

Del Toro always makes visually stunning movies - Pan's Labyrinth was just beautiful - and I can't wait to see what he delivers with Crimson Peak.

2. Bond 24 - released 23rd October

You can't talk about 2015 movies without giving a little mention to Bond 24.

I am excited to see the follow-up from Skyfall, as Sam Mendes is back in the director's chair for a second stab at the franchise.

Mendes did such a terrific job in steering Skyfall to success that it would have been very disappointing not to see him return. John Logan is also back on script writing duties.

Daniel Craig is also back as 007, while Ralph Fiennes, Ben Whishaw, and Naomie Harris are expected to reprise their roles of M, Q, and Moneypenny.

While not official casting announcements have been made, Penelope Cruz and Chiwetel Ejiofor are the two big names that have been bandied around for roles.

Bond 24 has quite a task in following up Skyfall, but is looks set to be one of the biggest successes of the year. Filming is expected to get underway in the autumn.

1. Avengers: Age of Ultron - released 24th April.

Filming is already underway on Avengers: Age of Ultron, and this is the movie of 2015 that I CANNOT wait to see.

It will come three years after the billion-dollar success of Avengers Assemble, and will bring Phase Two of Marvel films to a triumphant close.

Joss Whedon is in the director's chair once again, and has penned the screenplay. Robert Downey Jr, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Mark Ruffalo, and Samuel L.Jackson are all set to return.

However, there are a handful of new faces to watch out for as James Spader, Elizabeth Olsen, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and Paul Bettany are all on board.

Age of Ultron is set to film in Italy, London, South Africa, and South Korea, and is set to be the biggest Marvel film yet. UK audiences will be getting the film first, hooray!!!!

Other movies that we also cannot wait to see include The Man From U.N.C.L.E., Ant-Man, The Good Dinosaur, and The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2.
