Jason Bourne returns to the big screen this week as Matt Damon takes on this iconic role for the fourth time.

This is the first time that Damon has played Bourne since the success of The Bourne Ultimatum back in 2007, as he reunites with director Paul Greengrass.
Jason Bourne looks set to be one of the biggest films of the summer and we look back over the franchise and pick out some of the best moments. Do you have a favourite?
- The Bourne Identity - What's Your Name
The first time we meet Jason Bourne, he is being fished out of the sea, unconscious, with bullet wounds in his back. Where had this man come from?
Taken care of by those on the boat, Bourne wakes up not knowing who he is, where he came from, or how he ended up in the middle of the ocean.
- The Bourne Identity - Fight in Bourne's Flat
After discovering his name and address from a deposit bank in Zurich, Bourne heads to Paris to find his home - helped by Marie, who has driven him to the Paris capital.
But a Treadstone agent is waiting for him at the apartment, after being ordered to take him out. The pair has one of the first big fights of the film - and one of the most memorable.
- The Bourne Identity - Car Chase
Still on the run in Paris, Bourne and Marie are forced to flee from the police in Marie's car.
It is a fast paced sequence with Bourne behind the wheel. It is also the moment when Jason and Marie really do team up and are in this situation together.
- The Bourne Identity - Stairwell Fight
At the end of the film, Bourne breaks into the Treadstone safe house in Paris, where he holds Nicky at gunpoint and starts to remember things about the Womboski assassination attempt that he set up.
Cornered in the safe house, Bourne fights his way out in a gun battle with Conklin's agents. One of the film's best moments is when he jumps down a stairwell to kill his enemy.
- The Bourne Supremacy - Marie Is Killed
The Bourne Supremacy is set two years after events of the first film and sees Jason and Marie living in India. The couple is trying to live a normal life but Jason is still suffering from flashbacks.
After stopping CIA agent Pam Landy from getting her hands on the Neski files - and framing Bourne in the process - Krill, an agent for Russia's Federal Security Service, heads to Goa to kill Bourne...
... but he kills Marie and Bourne gets drawn back into a world that he had tried to leave behind.
- The Bourne Supremacy - Bourne Fights With Jarda
Jarda is the only other Treadstone operative alive and Bourne pays him a visit in Munich to find out more about the programme and Pam Landy.
But Jarda is stalling. The pair fight, Bourne kills Jarda and escapes before the CIA arrives. It is a close hand to hand fight that is one of the best in the film.
- The Bourne Supremacy - Bourne Kidnaps Nicky
Nicky was another familiar face on the cast list as Julia Stiles reprised the role. Nicky is kidnapped by Bourne as he tries to get some answers.
Not only does Nicky give him the information that he's looking for, but Bourne also has a flashback to his first mission as an operative for Treadstone.
Nicky does have a small part to play in the first two films... but took on a much bigger role in The Bourne Ultimatum.
- The Bourne Ultimatum - Bourne Meets Ross at Waterloo
Simon Ross is a reporter for The Guardian who is investigating Treadstone and Jason Bourne. The pair set up a meeting at Waterloo Station in London.
But Ross has been followed by members of the Blackbriar programme - lead by Noah Vosen - who want Ross silenced. The Waterloo scene is a great sequence of cat and mouse as Bourne tries to move Ross out of harm's way.
- The Bourne Ultimatum - Bourne vs Desh
With Nicky on side, the pair travel to Tangier to try and save Daniels, a CIA station chief, from Blackbriar 'asset' Desh Bouksani.
Bourne and Nicky are chased over the city. Bourne manages to save Nicky before Desh kills her, before going on to kill him.
- The Bourne Ultimatum - Bourne Breaks Into CIA
One of the best scenes in the film is where Bourne finally speaks to Noah Vosen. Vosen has intercepted a call between Bourne and Landy and believes that the pair is going to meet. They stake out the spot hoping to capture Bourne.
But Jason has other ideas and has entered Vosen's office at CIA headquarters and steals classified documents about Blackbriar.
- The Bourne Ultimatum - Bourne Meets Dr. Albert Hirsch
After receiving a coded message from Landy about where he can get some answers, Bourne comes face to face with Dr. Albert Hirsch back where it all started.
He learns about the Treadstone programme and how he got involved - while having flashbacks at the same time. Bourne learns that his real name is David Webb and he volunteered for the programme.
Jason Bourne is released 27th July.
