The World's End is one of the summer movies that we are most excited about here at FemaleFirst as it sees Simon Pegg, Nick Frost and Edgar Wright reunite.
The trio have brought us movies such as Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz and now they are back for their third project together - and it is great to see them back.
Edgar Wright is back in the director's chair for the film while he and Pegg have penned the screenplay.
And we have the first official trailer for the film for you to check out:
There is some fantastic British acting talent on show in this movie as Pegg and Frost are joined on the cast list by Paddy Considine, Eddie Marsan, Martin Freeman and Rosamund Pike.
The World's End is the first directorial outing for Wright since he helmed Scott Pilgrim vs The World but he is a director who always seems to get the best out of the Pegg/Frost partnership.
As for Pegg The World's End will be the second movie of the summer for him after reprising the role of Scotty in Star Trek Into Darkness.
20 years after attempting an epic pub crawl, five childhood friends reunite when one of them becomes hellbent on trying the drinking marathon again.
They are convinced to stage an encore by Gary King (Pegg), a 40-year-old man trapped at the cigarette end of his teens, who drags his reluctant pals to their hometown and once again attempts to reach the fabled pub - The World’s End.
As they attempt to reconcile the past and present, they realise the real struggle is for the future, not just theirs but humankind’s. Reaching The World’s End is the least of their worries
Wright, Pegg and Frost have brought us terrific comedies in the past and The World's End looks set to see them continue that fine tradition.
