This summer will see a whole host of animation films hit the big screen, but The Wind Rises is the one that we are most looking forward to.
Any Studio Ghibli movie is something that you should be excited about - the studio really has delivered some truly wonderful and moving movies over the years.
However, the release of The Wind Rises will have even more poignancy, as it is the final film from director Hayao Miyazaki.
Miyazaki has been a driving force at Studio Ghibli, and was behind films such as Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away, and My Neighbour Totoro. But this will be his last foray into the director's chair.
The Wind Rises has already received huge praise on the festival circuit, and I cannot wait to see Miyazaki's final movie.
The Wind Rises is based on Miyazaki's own comic book, and will look at the life of Jiro Horikoshi: the man who designed the Japanese fighter planes during the Second World War.
A terrific voice cast has been brought together, as Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Emily Blunt, John Krasinski, Stanley Tucci, and William H. Macy are all on board.
The Wind Rises has already picked up Best Animated Film gongs at the likes of the National Board of Review, New York Film Critics Circle, and New York Film Critics Online.
It went on to be nominated for the Best Animated Film Oscar, but lost out to Frozen.
The Wind Rises looks set to be another stunning Studio Ghibli - it is great to see the traditional hand-drawings back on display in an animation film.
Miyazaki really has been at the forefront of animation for so long, and it is sad to see him finally retire. However, it does look like he is set to go out with a bang.
This is an animation film that I definitely will not be missing this summer.
The Wind Rises is released 9th May.
