The White King is a movie that will receive its world premiere at the Edinburgh International Film Festival tomorrow and a teaser trailer has arrived to whet your appetite.
The White King is a big screen adaptation of the novel by György Dragomán and sees Jörg Tittel and Alex Helfrech team up in the director's chair.
This will be the feature film directorial debut for the duo, who last worked together on the short film The Sip back in 2012.
The White King is a movie that is one of the most anticipated at this year's Edinburgh International Film Festival and we have the new teaser trailer for you to take a look at:
Agyness Deyn is continuing to build her acting career and will take on the central role of Hannah. It will be a very different role for the actress and I cannot wait to see her in action.
Deyn is joined on the cast list by Jonathan Pryce, Olivia Williams, Ólafur Darri Ólafsson, Fiona Shaw, and Greta Scacchi.
The movie will also introduce us to the acting talents of Lorenzo Allchurch, who will make his big screen debut in the role of Djata.
Shot entirely on location in Hungary, the film follows Djata, a 12-year-old boy coming to grips with his father's imprisonment by the totalitarian state he calls home.
Preyed upon by the secret police and venal dignitaries, Djata and his mother (Deyn) are forced to navigate through the world of propaganda, abuse, and vicious gangs, making them risk everything to reunite their family.
The White King premieres at the Edinburgh International Film Festival on 18th June.
