Russell Crowe is set to make his feature film directorial debut with The Water Diviner, and the first trailer for the film has been released by Entertainment One.
Crowe will lead the cast as well as being in the director's chair in what looks set to be a powerful and emotional film.
Crowe is joined on the cast list by Olga Kurylenko, Jai Courtney, Cem Yilmaz and Yilmaz Erdogan, and you can see some of them in action in this great first trailer.
Written by Andrew Anastasios and Andrew Knight, The Water Diviner follows an Australia man who travels to Turkey to find the bodies of his three sons, who died during the battle of Gallipoli.
Crowe is such an experienced actor it seems that he perhaps should have made his directorial debut many years ago.
However, it looks like it might have been worth the wait and I cannot wait to see what he delivers with The Water Diviner.
The Water Diviner will not be released until 23rd January 2015, but it is one of the early films of next year that I am already looking forward to.
