The Overnight is a comedy that has been winning over critics and audiences since it premiered at the Sundance Film Festival at the beginning of the year and it will be hitting the big screen this Friday.

The Overnight

The Overnight marks the return of Patrick Brice to the director's chair for what is only the second feature film of his career to date; it comes after making his debut with horror movie Creep.

As well as in being in the director's chair, Brice has also penned the screenplay and has turned his hand to comedy for his latest feature project; a movie that has already been lavished in praise.

It promises to be one of the must see comedy movies of the summer and we have an exclusive clip to share with you ahead of the film's released tomorrow.

Taylor Schilling, Adam Scott, Jason Schwartzman, and Judith Godrèche come together to take on the roles of Emily, Alex, Kurt, and Charlotte - two couples who meet through their children.

The Overnight focuses on Alex, Emily, and their son, RJ, who have recently moved to Los Angeles' Eastside from Seattle. Feeling lost in a new city, they are desperate to find their first new friends.

After a chance meeting with Kurt at the neighbourhood park, they gladly agree to join family pizza night at the home. But as it gets later and the kids go to bed, the family 'playdate' becomes increasingly more revealing and bizarre as the couples begin to open up.

The Overnight looks set to be a funny, provocative, and unforgettable comedy this summer and is not to be missed this weekend.

The Overnight is released 26th June.
