It has been a while since we have seen George Clooney star alongside his pal Matt Damon, but the duo are set to return with The Monuments Men.
The Monuments Men is one of the movies that I have been looking forward to for some time as it marks the return of Mr Clooney to the director's chair.
I love Clooney as a director and making films about the past seem to be a speciality; if you haven't seen Good Night And Good Luck then you really should check it out.

The Monuments Men is based on the book The Monuments Men: Allied Heroes, Nazi Thieves and the Greatest Treasure Hunt in History by Robert M. Edsel and has been adapted for the big screen by Clooney and Grant Heslov.
Clooney has brought together an all star cast as Matt Damon, Bill Murray, John Goodman, Jean Dujardin, Hugh Bonneville and Cate Blanchett are all on board.
The Monuments Men focuses on an unlikely World War II platoon, tasked by FDR with going into Germany to rescue artistic masterpieces from Nazi thieves and returning them to their rightful owners.
It would be an impossible mission: with the art trapped behind enemy lines, and with the German army under orders to destroy everything as the Reich fell, how could these guys - seven museum directors, curators, and art historians, all more familiar with Michelangelo than the M-1 - possibly hope to succeed?
But as the Monuments Men, as they were called, found themselves in a race against time to avoid the destruction of 1000 years of culture, they would risk their lives to protect and defend mankind’s greatest achievements.
I am a huge fan of Clooney as both a director and an actor and I am excited to see this drama in the new year as it really looks like it is going to be powerful and funny stuff.
It is such a shame that the film will no be eligible for the Oscars due to the release having to be pushed back.
The Monuments Men is released 21st February 2014.
