The Jungle Book is set to be one of the must-see films of 2016 and the first teaser trailer for the movie has finally arrived.
The Jungle Book is a live-action remake of the 1967 animation film, which was based on the Rudyard Kipling tale, and marks the return of Jon Favre au to the director's chair.
Favreau has brought us movies such as Elf, Iron Man and Iron Man 2, but The Jungle Book looks set to be one of his biggest movie challenges to date. I have to admit, I was a little worried when they said that a live action version of this wonderful animation movie was in the works... however, the trailer looks wonderful and I really cannot wait to see what Favreau delivers.
The first teaser trailer for the film is here and it is going to be an action packed ride:
The Jungle Book is the first time that we are going to see Favreau in the director's chair since Chef and it is his first blockbuster movie since Cowboys & Aliens back in 2011.
And the director has brought together another wonderful cast list as Bill Murray, Ben Kingsley, Idris Elba, Scarlett Johansson, Christopher Walken and Lupita Nyong'o have all lent their voices to the film and will bring the characters of Baloo, Bagheera, Shere Khan, Kaa, King Louise, and Raksha to life.
We are also going to be introduced to the acting talents of Neel Sethi, who will take on the central role of Mowgli in the film. The Jungle Book will mark his feature film debut.
Filming is still underway on The Jungle Book and is just the latest in a series of Disney movies that have been given a live-action makeover. Cinderella and Maleficent have already enjoyed huge success while Beauty and the Beast will be released in 2017.
This is also one of two The Jungle Book movies as Andy Serkis is set to put his stamp on this well-known tale as he makes his feature film directorial debut.
The Jungle Book is released 15th April 2016.
