I have been looking forward to seeing Sean Penn in The Gunman for some time, as this is not the kind of film that we are use to seeing him tackled.
The Gunman sees Penn become an action hero as the novel by Jean-Patrick Manchette is brought to the big screen by filmmaker Pierre Morel.
Penn may not be a familiar figure in the action genre, but Morel is no stranger with the likes of District 9, Taken, and From Paris with Love already under his belt.
However, this latest clip is a quieter moment from the film, as Penn shares some screen time with British actor Idris Elba:
Penn takes on the central role of former Special Forces soldier Jim Terrier, and he and Elba are joined on the cast list by Mark Rylance, Ray Winstone, Jasmine Trinca, and Oscar winner Javier Bardem.
The Gunman is a movie that I have been looking forward to for some time as it really is promising to be an action packed ride. I am also looking forward to see Penn become the latest mature action star - I can't wait to see him throw himself into this role.
I have been a fan of Penn for many years and this is his first leading role since This Must Be The Places back in 2012.
Penn stars as a former Special Forces soldier and military contractor suffering from PTSD. He tries to reconnect with his long time love, but first must go on the run from London to Barcelona and across Europe in order to clear his name.
The Gunman is released 20th March.
