Jason Bateman is teaming up with Rebecca Hall this summer for new thriller The Gift.
The Gift
The Gift marks the feature film directorial debut for actor turned filmmaker Joel Edgerton - who also stars in the film alongside Bateman and Hall.
Edgerton has already directed short films Monkeys and The List and is now making the leap into feature film. As if directing and starring in a film wasn't enough, Edgerton has also penned the screenplay.

Bateman and Hall played married couple Simon and Robyn whose lives are turned upside down when Gordo - someone from Simon's past - unexpectedly turns up.
This great cast is rounded off by Busy Philipps, Katie Aselton, Allison Tolman, Susan May Pratt, David Denman, and Wendell Pierce.
Simon (Bateman) and Robyn (Hall) are a young married couple whose life is going just as planned until a chance encounter with an acquaintance from Simon's high school sends their world into a harrowing tailspin.
Simon doesn't recognize Gordo (Edgerton) at first, but after a seemingly coincidental series of encounters proves troubling, a horrifying secret from their past is uncovered after nearly 20 years.
As Robyn learns the unsettling truth about what happened between Simon and Gordo, she starts to question: how well do we really know the people closest to us, and are past bygones ever really bygones?
The Gift is released 7th August.
