Denzel Washington is set to show off his action credentials in his new film The Equalizer, and the brand new trailer has been released.
The Equalizer is the first film for Washington since 2 Guns, and his only big screen outing in 2014.
However, the most exciting things about The Equalizer is that is sees Washington reunite with director Antoine Fuqua.
This is their first project together since Fuqua steered Washington to an Oscar winning performance in the fantastic Training Day: hard to believe that that movie was twelve years ago.
Washington & Fuqua are back together again, and here is the terrific new trailer for the film:
Fuqua has assembled another great cast, as Washington is joined by Chloë Grace Moretz, Melissa Leo, Marton Csokas, and Bill Pullman.
The Equalizer tells the story of a former black ops commando who faked his death and is now living a quiet life and returns to action to rescue a prostitute from evil pimps.
His actions cause the Russian mob to send rogue CIA agents to kill him; he battles back against overwhelming odds, defeating them and becoming 'The Equalizer.'
It is always exciting to see Washington strut his stuff on the big screen, and I can't wait to see him return to a high-octane action role.
The Equalizer looks set to be a movie not to miss this autumn.
The Equalizer is released 26th September.
