The Equalizer

The Equalizer

Denzel Washington is back on the big screen this September as he returns to the action genre with The Equalizer.

It is always great to see Washington take on the action hero role, and this is a movie that I have been looking forward to seeing for some time.

The Equalizer sees Washington reunite with director Antoine Fuqua for the first time since Training Day.

A brand new clip has been released for the film, and sees Washington come face to face with Marton Csokas:

Washington and Fuqua made a terrific team with Training Day and I am excited to see these two collaborate again.

It has been a while since we have seen Fuqua in the director's chair, as this is his first film since Olympus Has Fallen last year.

However, it is not all about Washington, as Csokas, Chloe Grace Moretz, Bill Pullman, and the fabulous Melissa Leo will all join him on the cast list.

In The Equalizer, Washington plays McCall, a former black ops commando who has faked his death to live a quiet life in Boston.

When he comes out of his self-imposed retirement to rescue a young girl, Teri (Moretz), he finds himself face to face with ultra-violent Russian gangsters.

As he serves vengeance against those who brutalize the helpless, McCall’s desire for justice is reawakened.

If someone has a problem, the odds are stacked against them, and they have nowhere else to turn, McCall will help. He is The Equalizer.

The Equalizer is released 26th September.
