Tom Hardy is back on the big screen this autumn, as he is set to lead the cast in The Drop.
The Drop is the first film for Hardy since the fantastic Locke, and is an adaptation of the Dennis Lehane short story Animal Rescue.
Michaël R. Roskam makes his second outing as a feature film director, while Lehane himself has penned the screenplay.
Hardy is one of our favourite actors here at FemaleFirst, and we cannot wait to see him in this new role.
See him in action in this brand new trailer:
The Drop will mark the final film for James Gandolfini, while Noomi Rapace and Matthias Schoenaerts are also on board.
The Drop follows lonely bartender Bob Saginowski (Hardy) through a covert scheme of funnelling cash to local gangsters - money drops - in the underworld of Brooklyn bars.
Under the heavy hand of his employer and cousin Marv (Gandolfini), Bob finds himself at the centre of a robbery gone awry and entwined in an investigation that digs deep into the neighbourhood’s past where friends, families, and foes all work together to make a living - no matter the cost.
The Drop is released 14th November.
