Star Trek Into Darkness is one of the most highly anticipated movies of 2013... and the wait is almost over.
J.J. Abrams is back in the director's chair as the adventures of young crew of the Enterprise continue.
Abrams led the cast down the red carpet in London last night for the dazzling UK premiere of the movie.
Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana, Benedict Cumberbatch, Karl Urban, Simon Pegg and Alice Eve thrilled fans in Leicester Square to help promote the movie.
On the red carpet the actors talked about the movie, their characters and the great reception they received in London:
While Pine, Quinto, Saldana, Urban and Pegg were returning to the roles that they first played in 2009 Eve and Cumberbatch were two of the big additions to the cast list.
Cumberbatch got a great welcome from the British crowd and he is set to play villain John Harrison in the movie.
But it was all about what the ladies were wearing last night as Zoe Saldana looked fantastic in Vionnet while Alice Eve also dazzled in Ermanno Scervino.
The crew of the Enterprise are going to see themselves pushed to the limit in the new movie as Harrison wrecks havoc... but can they stop him?
Star Trek Into Darkness is the first directorial outing for Abrams since he helmed Super 8 after turning his attention to produce some TV projects.
