Slow West First Trailer

Michael Fassbender has a busy 2015 ahead of him, Slow West is just one of the films that we are going to be seeing him in this year…, and the first trailer for the movie has arrived.

The movie has been playing well on the festival circuit over the last few months and I can't wait to see Fassbender in action and tackling the Western - a genre that we don't seen nearly as often as we should on the big screen.

Slow West is set to mark the feature film directorial debut of John MacLean - who has also penned the screenplay - as he makes the leap from shorts for the first time. However, it will be the third time that he has worked with Fassbender, having teamed up for short films Pitch Black Heist and Man on a Motorcycle.

The first trailer for the film has arrived and we have it for you to take a quick look at:

Fassbender will take on the role of Silas Selleck in the film, and will star alongside Kodi Smith-McPhee - who enjoyed success last year with Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. The pair is joined on the cast list by Rory McCann, Ben Mendelsohn, Alex MacQueen, and Brooke Williams.

At the end of the nineteenth century, 16-year-old Jay Cavendish (Smit-McPhee) journeys across the American frontier in search of the woman he loves. He is joined by Silas (Fassbender), a mysterious traveller, and hotly pursued by an outlaw along the way.

We haven't seen Fassbender on the big screen since the huge critical and commercial success of X-Men: Days of Future Past last summer, but he does have a whole host of films set to hit the big screen this year.

He has already completed work on Trespass Against Us, The Light Between Oceans, Macbeth, and an untitled Terrence Malick film. He is currently filming biopic film Steve Jobs - in which he will take on the title role - and X-Men: Apocalypse is in the pipeline.
