I don't know about you, but I love the short films that play in front of the Pixar features as much as I love the movies themselves... and we are going to be treated to Sanjay's Super Team this November.
Sanjay's Super Team is set to play in front of The Good Dinosaur later this year and the short film is set to receive its UK premiere at the BFI London Film Festival on Sunday.
The Pixar shorts are always a real treat and we have the first clip from Sanjay's Super Team for you to take a look at:
Sanjay's Super Team sees Sanjay Patel in the director's chair in what is his first directorial effort for Pixar. However, he is no stranger to the world of Pixar having worked as an animator and a story artist on the likes of The Incredibles, Ratatouille, and Monsters, Inc.
For Sanjay's Super Team, Patel uses his own experience to tell the story of a young, first-generation Indian-American boy whose love for western pop culture comes into conflict with his father's traditions.
Sanjay is absorbed in the world of cartoons and comics, while his father tries to draw him into the traditions of his Hindu practice. Tedium and reluctance quickly turn into an awe-inspiring adventure as the boy embarks on a journey he never imagined, returning with a new perspective that they can both embrace.
We are huge Pixar fans here at FemaleFirst and never before have we had two Pixar feature films hit the big screen in the same year. For animation fans, 2015 has been a Pixar treat as not only will we get two features... we are also going to get two wonderful short films as well. Kick back and enjoy as the short films really are a lot of fun!!!
The short will have its UK Premiere at the BFI London Film Festival on Sunday, 18 October 2015 at 11:00am at NFT1 (BFI Southbank).
Sanjay's Super Team will play in front of The Good Dinosaur, which is released on the 27th November.
