Upcoming movie Plastic boasts a spectacular fresh young cast, but you may just catch yourself taking a second look at the line-up and wondering where on earth you’ve seen them before.
Well, wonder no more, because to celebrate the heist drama’s theatrical release on April 30, we’ve trawled through the core cast’s impressive CVs to bring you a quick rundown of their previous acting exploits.
- Ed Speleers
If you’re wracking your brains to work out where you’ve seen Plastic’s head fraudster Sam before, you may recognise the 26-year-old from his breakthrough role in 2006’s Eragon.
The actor was 18 when he played the title role in the movie which would kickstart his acting career.
You might also have seen him in 2011 thriller A Lonely Place to Die or as footman Jimmy Kent in period drama Downton Abbey.
Plastic sees Speleers reunite with director Gilbey, after the pair worked together for the first time on A Lonely Place To Die back in 2011.
- Alfie Allen
If you’re a Game of Thrones fan (and let’s face it, who’s isn’t?) you’ll probably know Plastic star Alfie Allen as Robb Stark’s former friend Theon Greyjoy.
As well as the HBO series, you may also recognise Allen from Atonement - where he played handyman Danny Hardman - and his stint as the king’s messenger in The Other Boleyn Girl.
Plastic sees Allen return to the big screen for the first time since the release of Confine. But series four of Game of Thrones is currently underway.
Allen will also be back on the big screen later this year, as will star in action/thriller John Wick with Keanu Reeves.
- Will Poulter
Will Poulter is one of the most talked about young actors of 2014, after he scooped the Rising Star Bafta earlier this year.
Poutler kicked off his career in 2007 when he starred in Son of Rambow with Bill Milner. Since then, he has starred in The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, Wild Bill and We're The Millers.
We're The Millers saw him star alongside Jason Sudeikis, Jennifer Aniston, and Emma Roberts, and really helped put him on the international stage.
2014 is going to be a very busy year for the actor as he has also completed work on Grassland, Kids in Love, and The Maze Runner.
- Emma Rigby
Emma Rigby joined Hollywood big guns including Cameron Diaz, Penelope Cruz, and Javier Bardem when she made an appearance as Toby Kebbell’s girlfriend in The Counsellor last year.
She’s also recently starred as Rebecca in The Physician and as The Red Queen in ABC’s Once Upon a Time.
If you’re a soap fan, you might have seen her in Hollyoaks in which she played Hannah Ashworth between until 2010.
- Sebastian De Souza
While Plastic is Sebastian De Souza’s first ever feature-length film, the 20-year-old is no stranger to acting, having starred in E4’s Skins as Matty Levan.
De Souza took his career stateside when he appeared in Showtime drama The Borgias.
De Souza also has an interest in behind the camera, having written the screenplay for the upcoming Kids in Love.
The movie will see De Souza also star alongside Will Poulter, Jamie Blackley, and Alma Jodorowsky. Chris Foggin is in the director's chair making his feature film debut.
