Christian Bale has a whole host of exciting projects hitting the big screen next year, and Out of the Furnace is one of them.
The movie promises to show Bale off at his dramatic best as he teams up with director Scott Cooper; he is directing his first movie since the success of Crazy Heart back in 2010.
Out of the Furnace is one of the early 2014 movies that we are looking forward to here at FemaleFirst, and here is the first clip from the film for you to take a look at:
As much as are big fans of Bale here at FemaleFirst Towers, he leads an all star cast as Casey Affleck, Zoe Saldana, Woody Harrelson, Forest Whitaker, Sam Shepard and Willem Dafoe are all also on board.
There are some fantastic ensemble cast movies heading our way next year, and Out of the Furnace is one of the early line-ups that really does impress.
Russell Baze (Bale) has a rough life: he works a dead-end blue collar job at the local steel mill by day, and cares for his terminally ill father by night.
When Russell’s brother Rodney (Affleck) returns home from serving time in Iraq, he gets lured into one of the most ruthless crime rings in the Northeast and mysteriously disappears.
The police fail to crack the case, so - with nothing left to lose - Russell takes matters into his own hands, putting his life on the line to seek justice for his brother.
Out of the Furnace will be the first big screen outing for Bale since The Dark Knight Rises last summer, and it is fantastic to see him back doing what he does best.
Out of the Furnace is released 31st January 2014.
