Our prediction for the 2022 winner of Best Picture, will be King Richard. This movie follows Richard Williams (Will Smith) as he trained his two daughters, Serena (Demi Singleton) and Venus Williams (Saniyya Sidney) to be the greatest tennis players in history.
Many have praised Smith’s caring, energetic and above all, very real performance within the film, as well as its incredible storytelling ability and the way it touched audiences’ hearts. It has been called enjoyable and hard-hitting, plus with viewers adoring a good biopic, King Richard has a very good chance at winning this category.

So, who do we think will win?
Our prediction for the 2022 winner for Best Actor is Andrew Garfield for his titular role in tick, tick... BOOM! The film follows Jonathan Larson, played by Garfield, in his struggle to see his vision come to life.
Whether the movie was enjoyable or not (many seemed to enjoy it, however), Garfield’s performance cannot be downplayed. His dedication and adoration for his role was ever-present, and his delivery of his lines was wonderful, to say the least. His efforts should definitely be rewarded.

So, who do we think will win?
Our prediction for the 2022 winner for Best Actress is Kristen Stewart for her role in Spencer, playing none other than Princess Diana; the feature follows Diana through her dealings with rumours and a troublesome marriage.
While Stewart may be a controversial actress, many agree that her performance in Spencer was mind-blowing. She delivered each and every line with purpose, and it is clear that this role was significant to her as she really seemed to delve deep and deliver a stunning performance.

- Kodi Smit-McPhee: The Power of the Dog
Not only should the leading roles be praised, but so should those that stood by their side.
So, who do we think will win?
Our prediction for the 2022 winner for Best Supporting Actor is Kodi Smit-McPhee for his role as Peter in The Power of the Dog; which sees a cruel farmhand change in the face of the unexpected.
Smit-McPhee's performance as a supporting actor within this film was brilliant; he portrayed his character’s silent sadness very well, and he stood tall despite his wish to retreat into the background. His character became somewhat relatable, which is no small feat in a film such as this one.
Best Supporting Actress
The nominees for Best Supporting Actress are as follows:
- Jessie Buckley: The Lost Daughter
- Ariana DeBose: West Side Story
- Judi Dench: Belfast
- Kirsten Dunst: The Power of the Dog
- Aunjanue Ellis: King Richard
Another category of excellent actresses who gave their roles genuine credibility.
So, who do we think will win?
Our prediction for the 2022 winner for Best Supporting Actress is Ariana DeBose for her role in West Side Story, which follows two rival gangs who have a member on each side who have fallen in love.
DeBose’s enchanting and uplifting performance in West Side Story has earned her an Oscar nomination, and for good reason. She is a bright and energetic presence on screen, and is well-deserving of this nomination, and the win itself.
