We are big Marvel fans here at FemaleFirst and the more and more we see of Ant-Man, the more we cannot wait to see the whole movie... it really is the July film that we are excited about the most.
Ant Man
Paul Rudd is the latest big name to join the Marvel Universe as a comic book hero as he takes on the role of Scott Lang aka Ant-Man for the very first time. We are use to seeing Rudd take on comedy roles and this is set to be the biggest and most action packed movie of his career to date.
And it is Rudd who takes centre stage in this new trailer as he finds that being small isn't all it is cracked up to be. Check it out:
I have been a fan of Rudd for many years but Ant-Man is the movie that looks set to send his star rocketing - we already know that we are going to see him reprise the role in Captain America: Civil War. Who knows what the future holds for this character, will we see him in further solo Ant-Man movies? Will he turn up in the upcoming Avengers movies?
Michael Douglas and Evangeline Lilly take on the roles of Dr Hank Pym and Hope van Dyne, while Corey Stoll, Bobby Cannavale, Michael Pena, and Judy Greer are also on board.
Armed with the astonishing ability to shrink in scale but increase in strength, master thief Scott Lang must embrace his inner-hero and help his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym, protect the secret behind his spectacular Ant-Man suit from a new generation of towering threats. Against seemingly insurmountable obstacles, Pym and Lang must plan and pull off a heist that will save the world.
We are going to be seeing a whole host of new Marvel characters and franchises over the next few years and Ant-Man is the first that we get to enjoy.
Ant-Man is released 17th July.
