Only a couple of years ago Matthew McConaughey was a solid actor that had a reputation of getting his shirt off in just about every movie that he was in.
Fast forward to the beginning of 2013 and he is one of the most exciting actors around at the moment as he has take on some recent projects that have taken his career in a different direction.
Lincoln Lawyer, Killer Joe and Magic Mike are movies and performances that have really made people sit up and take note of McConaughey and now he is back.
Mud is set to be his latest movie as he teams up with director Jeff Nichols.

Mud is an adventure about two boys, Ellis and his friend Neckbone, who find a man named Mud hiding out on an island in the Mississippi.
Mud describes fantastic scenarios - he killed a man in Texas and vengeful bounty hunters are coming to get him.
He says he is planning to meet and escape with the love of his life, Juniper, who is waiting for him in town. Skeptical but intrigued, Ellis and Neckbone agree to help him.
