Zoe Saldana has hinted that the next two Avatar movies will be shot at the same time.
The actress took on the role of Neytiri in the 2009 film and there has been lots of talk about a sequel ever since the huge success of the film.
James Cameron has been working on the story for the film and it looks like filming could well get underway as early as next year.
Speaking on The Jonathan Ross Show the actress said:
"I think that they're doing a part two and a part three and they're probably going to shoot it at the same time.
"Because if we just do two and then wait, I'll probably be 45 or 50 by the time we get to part three. It takes a long time, it's a very hard process."
Avatar went on to become the biggest grossing movie of all time as it was the first film to ever gross in excess of $2 billion at the global box office.
But Saldana will be back on the big screen this week in another blockbuster project - of course I am talking about Star Trek Into Darkness.
The actress will be reprising the role of Uhura in J.J. Abrams’ second Star Trek movie, the first since he rebooted the franchise back in 2009.
She has also completed work on Out of the Furnace, Blood Ties and Nina and will star in Marvel movie Guardians of the Galaxy, which will begin filming later this year.
Star Trek Into Darkness is released 9th May.
