Zoe Saldana says that she wants to move into directing.
Saldana is one of the most in demand actresses in Hollywood with great movies and franchises already under her belt.
But she has directing ambitions and reveals that she took on her new movie Blood Ties so she could work with Guillaume Canet - and actor who has made the successful transition into filmmaking.
Speaking to Reuters the actress said: "I was never the man with the plan until recently, maybe two years ago," she admitted.
"It is only because of my desire to make that transition and become a director and that is one of the reasons why I wanted to work with Guillaume because he is an actor and now he has been making a very graceful and solid transition into directing."
Blood Ties is the first film for Canet since Little White Lies and will see Saldana team up with Clive Owen and Mila Kunis.
Saldana has already enjoyed huge success this summer with Star Trek Into Darkness; which saw her return to the role of Uhura.
And we are going to be seeing plenty of her as she has also completed work on Nina and Out of the Furnace as well as landing a role in Guardians of the Galaxy.
