Zac Efron has revealed that he has met for discussions about a possible role in Star Wars Episode VII.
Efron also admitted that he is a huge fan of the Star Wars movies and would love to be involved wit the J.J. Abrams directed project.
Speaking to MTV the actor said:"Yeah, I just went and met with them. So I don't know. It would be cool. I love [the Star Wars movies], I love them, but… who knows?"
Efron is just the latest in a long line of names that have been linked with possible roles in the new film; the likes of Saoirse Ronan, Michael Fassbender, Benedict Cumberbatch and Ryan Gosling are all names that have been flying around over the last few months.
However, there have been no official announcements about who is going to star in the new film.
Last month it seemed that Carrie Fisher did confirm that she would be back as Princess Leia. But Mark Hamill revealed that his involvement in the film was not certain.
The movie will see Abrams back in the director’s chair, and he revealed earlier this year that the script for the movie has finally been completed.
Filming on the movie is set to get underway later this year, for the 2015 release date.
As for Efron, he returned to the big screen this weekend in That Awkward Moment, and is set to star in a second comedy Neighbours.
