We are going to be introduced to the Four Horsemen for the first time in X-Men: Apocalypse and they take centre stage in a set of brand new character posters.
Michael Fassbender is set to lead the Horsemen as he reprises the role of Magneto for his third X-Men film. Alexandra Shipp will take on the role of a young Storm and we are going to be introduced to Olivia Munn and Ben Hardy as Psylocke and Angel.
The Four Horsemen is an element of X-Men: Apocalypse that I am looking forward to the most and they star in a set of great new posters. Take a look:
Shipp, Hardy, and Munn are three of the exciting new additions to the X-Men cast list, while this is the first time that we have seen Fassbender take on the role of Magneto since the huge critical and commercial success of Days of Future Past back in 2014.
Tye Sheridan, Sophie Turner, Kodi Smith-McPhee, and Oscar Isaac are also new as the take on the roles of Cyclops, Jean Grey, Nightcrawler, and Apocalypse. But there are plenty of familiar faces to watch out for as James McAvoy, Nicholas Hoult, Jennifer Lawrence, Lucas Till and Evan Peters are also back.
There is also a familiar face in the director's chair as Bryan Singer returns to helm his fourth X-Men film. Singer has already brought us X-Men, X2, and X-Men: Days of Future Past and this looks set to be his biggest film yet. I really cannot wait to see where he takes the story and these characters next.
Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshipped as a god. Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel's X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible. Upon awakening after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto (Fassbender), to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign.
As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Raven (Lawrence) with the help of Professor X (McAvoy) must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction.
X-Men: Apocalypse is released 18th May.
