X-Men: Days of Future Past has not yet hit the big screen but 20th Century Fox have revealed that another film will be released in 2016.
X-Men: Apocalypse will be the next instalment of the popular franchise and will be released May 27, 2016.
Director Bryan Singer announced the upcoming film on Twitter, but it is not yet known which of the X-Men characters and actors will appear in the film.
It's thought the film will feature Marvel villain Apocalypse, who in comic book lore claims to be the world's first mutant and menaces the X-Men heroes.
X-Men:Days of Future Past will see Singer return to the director's chair to helm an X-Men film for the first time since the success of X2.
The film will mix the original series stars with actors from X-Men: Days of Future Past as a fantastic cast are brought together.
James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellan are all set to star.
The movie comes three years after the success of X-Men: First Class; which took us back to the start of Professor Xavier and Magneto's friendship.
X-Men: Days of Future Past is released 22nd May 2014.
